Erik Ferjentsik – Co-founder
After completing the turnaround, Erik decided to follow his entrepreneurial inner-voice by starting a successful international tourism company, Slo Pony Adventures, in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. This company was the very first American/Vietnamese joint venture company in the tourism industry and the first ever propose and receive a license to guide tourists rock climbing. During his tenure as CEO for Slo Pony Adventures, Erik authored and published the first adventure guidebook centered around rock climbing in Vietnam, which has now sold over 10,000 copies. Other accomplishments in Vietnam include buying a restaurant with turnaround potential and selling for a premium as well as initiated a very successful micro finance fund helping build the local Vietnamese economy.
Erik spent three years living in Vietnam and then returned to the US where he gained valuable experience as a Regional Marketing Director for The Princeton Review. Now Erik is finishing his MBA at Babson College F.W. Olin School of Business, where he was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship as well as the prestigious Sorenson Scholarship Award given to only two graduating MBA students each year. Upon graduation, Erik intends to continue innovating while using his unique skills and experiences to disrupt the world…in a good way! You will often find him rock climbing or wall-papering his house with ideas written on post-its.
Ben Zanghi – Co-founder
After graduating Fairfield University, Ben worked as a technology consultant with Sapient Corporation where he leveraged expert creative problem solving techniques to help senior executives define innovative solutions for complex problems. He managed a $35 million agile-based project team and increased ROI for dozens of other IT project by coaching managers on how to deliver. Ben was nominated for the Rookie of Year Award, Core Values Award, and was featuered on Sapient.com for an outstanding career.
Ben is currently finishing his MBA at Babson College F.W. Olin School of Business. He will be graduating with a merit scholarship, a concentration in Marketing, and successful completion of the intensity track: “Managing in Technologically Intensive Enterprises.” In Ben’s free time, he enjoys entertaining others as an accomplished jazz pianist.
